数据的力量

我们现在已经度过了1月的一半时间，2017年可能是你的全盛时期。摆在你们面前的是充满挑战、新技术以及个人生活和职业生活中可预见和不可预见的发展的又一年。我想特别强调一个趋势，它既是一种挑战，也是一种发展，那就是“数据的力量”。

The growing relevance of data in facilitating good land governance is unmistakable. Land professionals must also be aware of this growing relevance, and new land administration systems are necessary to deliver good data for governments to base their policies upon if the SDGs are to be achieved.

这个月1号联合国世界数据论坛正在南非开普敦（1月15日至18日）举行。联合国世界数据论坛是题为2014年报告的主要建议的结果一个重要的世界．联合国统计委员会已加紧筹办这一论坛，这将切实加强信息技术人员、地理空间信息管理人员、数据科学家和用户以及民间社会利益攸关方等各专业团体之间的合作。本次活动的主题为“利用数据的力量促进可持续发展”，主题包括数据素养、地理空间和遥感数据在可持续发展应用中的作用、开放数据在支持国家统计和监测可持续发展目标方面的作用，以及大数据创新。
