The International Lidar Mapping Forum (ILMF) has released its 2020 conference programme featuring a robust and diverse line-up of keynote presentations, case studies and panel discussions led by industry experts. This year marks the 20thanniversary of ILMF, the premier event for surveying and mapping technologies including airborne, mobile and bathymetric Lidar as well as other remote sensing technologies.
2020年的会议上,第一次发生在佤邦shington, DC, will feature heavy representation from government organizations that employ surveying and mapping technologies. These presentations will explore topics such as national mapping programmes, statewide projects, updates from the US Geological Survey (USGS) and the 3D Elevation Programme (3DEP). The programme will also cover a wide array of specific areas of application such as topo-bathy mapping, forestry, indoor mapping, and much more.
“We’re excited forILMFto be in Washington, DC, where the industry receives much of its support,” says Lisa Murray, group director at Diversified Communications. “Several federal government agencies drive the national Lidar data policies, along with state and regional groups, so we’re thrilled to bring such an important industry gathering to the US capitol region.”
Conference attendees will also hear from various speakers focusing on new and innovative applications for remote sensing technologies, including presentations on the use of Lidar in micromobility vehicles, and in Major League Baseball. The full programme can be viewed here.
Innovative Hardware and Software Solutions
“The 2020 programme reflects the dynamic nature of the Lidar industry,” says Bill Emison, conference chair at Diversified Communications. “Traditional mapping solutions are now being augmented by innovative hardware and software solutions that allow for greater user access and functionality. As the Lidar industry continues to evolve, we want to be at the forefront of this technical evolution.”
The 20thedition of ILMF, produced by Diversified Communications, will be held from 23-25 March at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC. It will take place together with theASPRSAnnual Conference and the MAPPS Federal Programs Conference, as part of Geo Week. The conference is critical to anyone who needs to stay on top of the latest technology and developments in the rapidly changing geospatial technology market.
